William Henry Weston

Henry was born February 5, 1925 to JB and Maggie Weston in Garland County Arkansas. He was the 10th of 13 children. He moved to Independence OR in 1943, working in the hop fields for several years. In 1945, he married Billie Mills and they raised their two children, Berta and Rick deceased on the farm on Talmadge Rd. In 1971 he married Carolyn Meier deceased. On October 14, 2006 he married Rose Ella Ervin. Henry worked for many years at Mountain Fir Lumber Co and MICO, both in Independence. Henry loved his Limousin cattle and was always happiest putting up hay and tending to his cows. After he sold the farm, he and Rose Ella especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch visiting with neighbors and strangers who happened to walk by. Henry was predeceased by his parents and 11 of his brothers and sisters, his son Rick, his wife Carolyn. He is survived by his wife Rose Ella of Monmouth, his daughter Berta Jim Wood of Keizer OR, his daughter-in-law Patty Brown of Anchorage AK, his former wife Billie Raleigh of Keizer OR, his step-children Larry Sandy Ervin of Puyallup WA, Dorothy George Combee of Sulphur Rock AR, Danny Deborah Ervin of Providence AR, granddaughter Mikki Ron Hittner of Keizer OR, great-granddaughters Tori and Bailey Hittner of Keizer OR, his brother Clyde Janice Weston of Royal AR, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, special step-nieces Julie Somela of Mt. Vernon WA and Judy Bonner of Lake Oswego OR and friend Dan Becker of Amity OR. Services will be Monday, November 9, 2009, at 1pm at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. The family would like to thank Benton Hospice, especially May, Mary Beth, Gay and Karen for all their help and loving care of Henry. What a wonderful group of women.
