Wanda Delores Pearl Bassett Goebel September 9, 1928-April 11, 2007 Wanda D. Goebel of Salem, Oregon died April 11, 2007 Wanda passed away at age 78 after a struggle with multiple long term illnesses. Wanda was born on September 9th, 1928, in Wallowa, OR. Wanda graduated from Wallowa High School in 1946. She married Kenneth Anthony Goebel in 1949. Five daughters followed from 1953-1968. She spent her life raising her family and working. She retired in 1987. Wanda spent the last 20 years enjoying her life to the fullest. She is survived by five daughters: Kristy Gifford of Independence, Lorrie Wade of Hermiston, Julie Goebel of Fremont, CA, Tonia Dunn of Bend, and Tiffany Rush of Coos Bay. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Matt, Megan, Kati, Jessica, and Aubrie. Her husband, Kenneth, preceded her in death in 1987. A memorial service will be held on April 19, 2007 at 1 pm at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Willamette Valley Hospice.
