Obituary, Virginia M. Zarate November 18, 1922 ~ May 13, 2007 Virginia M. Zarate of Independence, Oregon passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side at the age of 84. Born November 18, 1922 in Robstown, Texas. Married to Jesus Zarate August 26, 1940. Jesus and Virginia moved to Oregon in 1960 and lived in Green Villa farm just north of Independence. Their family migrated throughout the northwest as they followed the different crops. In 1972 the family purchased a home on 4th St. in Independence, Oregon. Virginia is preceded by her husband Jesus, Brother Roberto, sister Horalia, daughter Victoria, grandson Raul and great grandson Adrian. Surviving family members are sisters Eva Salas, and brothers Geronimo and Ricardo Marroquin. Five Children, Guadalupe Cedillo, Peidad Zarate, Jose Manuel Zarate, Maria Horalia Zarate and Gerardo Zarate. Twenty - three grandchildren, Norma Arredondo, Lydia Vasquez, Rosario Robledo, Virginia Longoria, Graciela Ocanas, Ramiro Cedillo, Sylvia Aleman, Daniel Garcia, Roque Garcia, Andrea Mcvay, Adam Garcia, David Alvarez jr., Armando Alvarez, Leticia Carrillo, Alberto Alvarez, Elena Carvajal, Tania Barajas, Celina Zarate, Miguel Zarate, Jesus Zarate, Gerardo Zarate II, Elysia Zarate and 35 great grandchildren. Rosary will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday May 17, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Friday may 18, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
