Virginia, 91, passed in Salem, Oregon on March 4th, 2020. A memorial service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday, March 20th at 9:30 am.
Born in Richey, MT to Harry and Harriett Gregg. The family moved west to Portland Oregon in the early 1930s. The family attended Sunnyside Methodist Church and Virginia graduated Washington High School in 1947. Virginia married Harold C. Warner on November 19, 1961. Working at Belmont Pharmacy and Carnation before becoming a full-time homemaker. Harold and Virginia lived in Northeast Portland, Troutdale, Otis and finally landing in Dallas, Oregon.
Virginia loved gardening alongside Harold on their extensive “city” farm, she was the original food stylist! She loved her pets, especially Dobie, the stray dog who found his way to her kind heart and front door. Bowling was a passion in her younger days and involved much traveling of the US. In 1966-67 her team took 1st place in the Oregon Women’s State Bowling Assoc league. In 1957 she climbed the south side of Mt. Hood with the Mazama’s!
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; Harold, her husband of 41 years, siblings Carl, Eldon, Cecil, Marie and Opal. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a few Great Greats! All will remember her fun-loving spirit, wonderful laugh and many kindnesses.
