Verna Beatrice Kozisek March 24, 1927 ~ April 29, 2008 Verna Beatrice Kozisek, 80 of Independence, Oregon died April 29th of lung cancer. She was born in Pine City, Minnesota to Ed and Edith Herrud. Verna is survived by her husband George, daughters Patti Sample, Penny Marr, son Rick Kozisek, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In memory of Verna contributions can be made to Salem Hospital Foundation Cancer Fund in care of Salem Hospital, Salem, Oregon. Viewing will be 1:00pm to 5:00pm Tuesday May 6th at Farnstrom Mortuary for family and friends. Funeral Service will be held 11:00am May 7th at the Monmouth Christian Church with reception following.
