Thelma Mae Moyer Eastman of Monmouth, Oregon left her family and friends after a lengthy illness on May 29, 2010. She was born September 5, 1921 in Hershey, PA to Edward and Mary (Miller) Moyer. She was the oldest of nine children. She married Thomas Eastman May 26, 1940. They lived in Buckeye, AZ until 1969. They moved their family to Prospect, OR. They lived there until 1971, and then they moved to Monmouth, OR. Thelma enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her family. She is survived by her children; daughter, Virginia Giesbrecht, Dallas; sons, Thomas Eastman, Lebanon and Jess Eastman, Salem; brother, Larry Moyer, Little Rock, AR. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 1:00pm Friday June 4, 2010 at Farnstrom Mortuary with reception following at the mortuary. Interment will be at English Cemetery (Fir Crest Cemetery District) in Monmouth following the reception.
Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers in care of Farnstrom Mortuary 410 Monmouth St. Independence, Oregon 97351 who is entrusted to Funeral arrangements.
