Tammey Younce

Our dearest Tammy Younce went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. She was born in Portland, OR on 08/15/1961 and was 62 years old.
Tammy passed at her home suddenly and unexpectedly after recovering from multiple hospital stays. She was better, happy and excited to return to her work where she helped support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her faith was very important to her as evidenced by her always putting others first. She spent her entire lifetime being a caregiver and loved everyone unconditionally. While she was still a child herself, she played a big part in raising her youngest brother, Shawn Younce. The rest of her life was loving and caring for various others.
Tammy raised her daughter, Samantha Yaconelli (Younce). She did a exemplary job and they were inseparable. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Her sweet, kind and loving spirit showed through in everything she did.
Tammy was preceded in heaven by her mother, Laura Jane Younce and brothers Tim Younce and Terry Taylor.
She leaves behind her daughter, Samantha and her husband Larry Yaconelli, who she adored, her 3 grandkids Riley (13), Camden (10) and Zyrah (8) and her treasured brother Shawn Younce to whom she was forever bonded and had love for each other without end, Shawn’s wife Tiffany Younce, who was her best friend and her special longtime friend Bruce Goerten where there was a mutual love.
We will miss her tremendously and her memory will be locked safely in our hearts forever. Rest in Jesus at your new home in heaven as you re-unite with loved ones. Heaven couldn’t have gained a sweeter soul.
Services will be held at Farnstrom Mortuary. 410 Monmouth Street, Independence, OR 97351 Sunday the 18th of February at 1:00 PM.
All who were close to her in some way are welcome to attend.
