Susan Marie Lewis Greenlee November 21, 1957 ~ November 9, 2009 Susan Marie Lewis Greenlee of Independence, Oregon passed away November 9, 2009 at her home in Independence at the age of 51. Susan was born November 21, 1957 in San Luis Obispo, California to David and Patty Lewis. She grew up in California and Arkansas. She took Jesus as her Lord and Savior when she was four years old and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Santa Maria, California when she was eight. After graduating from West Fork AR High School she attended Faith Baptist Church College in Ankeny, IA where she met and married Dale Greenlee on June 18, 1977. They lived successively in Iowa, California and Oregon. After graduating from Chemeketa Community College she started her own medical transcription service. She was active in many church ministries including AWANA, children's Sunday School classes and in Gideons International. In May, 2008 after about a year of constant illness, Susan was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She passed away due to conditions related to that illness on November 9, 2009. Survivors include her husband Dale Greenlee of Independence, Oregon, Daughter Laura Crabb of Independence, Oregon, Son Brandon Greenlee of Vancouver, Washington, Father David Lewis of Santa Maria, California and sister Denise Williams of Littleton, Co. and 1 grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday November 12th from 3pm to 5pm at Farnstrom Mortuary. Memorial Service will be held 2pm Saturday November 14th at the Independence First Baptist Church with committal service following at 3:30pm at English Cemetery in Monmouth.
