Ryan was born May 30, 1979 in Salem Oregon. He grew up in the West Salem area and attended Brush College Grade School, Walker Middle School, and South Salem High School. He was always very positive and optimistic about things just like his father, David Castilleja, who passed in 2006. His mission in life was to make people happy, he always thought about others. People were drawn to him. He had such a charming way about him; he could always make you smile. He was the "life of the party!" Family was always the most important thing to him, next to the Lord. Ryan was a "stop and smell the roses" kind of person. He found beauty in everything! He loved food! Especially strange food, and he could use hot sauce in any dish and any meal! He also really enjoyed nature and had a major soft spot for animals. Music was a huge inspiration to him and a daily part of his life.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Jennifer Rawlins - stepfather, John Rawlins - sister, Tamara Nolan - life partner, Annabeth Nelson.
Memorial service to be held at Silverton community Seventh-day Adventist church, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2 o'clock.
