Ruth Esther Edelman Larwood March 27, 1921 ~ September 23, 2009 Ruth Esther Edelman Larwood of Independence, Oregon passed away September 23, 2009 at the age of 88. Ruth was born in Blind Slough Clatsop County, Oregon on March 27, 1921 to Calvin & Isabelle Myers Edelman. Moved to Independence in 1962 from Knappa, she and her husband James Larwood together owned a dairy just south of Independence. James passed away in 1986. Ruth was a member of the Order Eastern Star, Chapter # 38 in Astoria, Oregon. She was a member and long time affiliate with the 4-H. She enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include her son James C. Larwood of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter Lillian L. Larwood of Albany, Oregon and son Larry L. Larwood of Independence, Oregon and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
