Obituary, Ruth I. Burris Connelly April 29, 1915 ~ July 29, 2008 Ruth I. Burris Connelly of Salem, Oregon passed away July 29th at the age of 93. Born April 29, 1915 in Knoxville, Illinois. Grew up in DesMoines, Iowa. Moved to Oregon in 1942. She was a homemaker, enjoyed traveling, dancing and family. Ruth was a member of the Monmouth Christian Church and local senior centers. On February 25, 1935 she married Sherman W. Burris; he passed away in March of 1976. Survivors include her daughters Joyce Hill of Salem and Linda Rictor of Corvallis. 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by daughter Frances Burris Nelson. Memorial Service will be 2:00pm Thursday July 31st at Farnstrom Mortuary with committal service following at Fir Crest Cemetery.
