Obituary, Russell Allen Johnson November 16, 1925 ~ July 31, 2006 Russell Allen Johnson of Dallas, Oregon passed away on July 31, 2006 at his home in Dallas he was 80 years old. Russell was born in Stoughton, Wisconsin on November 16, 1925 to Oscar Johnson and Ethel Merwin Johnson. He is survived by his wife Catherine, daughter Cheryl, son Michael. Sons John, Timothy, daughter Brenda, 6 grandchildren, brother Don and his wife Kathy, Sister Esther Minnett and her husband Don. When he was young he worked on the farm, at a bakery, and also worked as a carpenter. He was a Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st class to Fleet Marine Forces. He was on the US Army Air Corp. He had various overseas assignments until retirement in 1965. He was employed by the University of Wisconsin for 13 years. He was employed by CUNA International Insurance Company in Wisconsin. He retired and moved to Oregon in 1985. He was one of Jehovah's Witness and enjoyed talking about the Bible to anyone he met. He also had the privilege of working construction to build many Kingdom Halls and assembly Halls of Jehovah's. He had friends in many different countries. He enjoyed meeting people and helping them whenever possible. He is at sleep for a short period of time awaiting the resurrection when he will come back and see all his dear loved ones again. He will be dearly missed. There will be a Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dallas, Oregon on August 12th at 2:00pm. Contributions can be made to the Watch Tower Society to the Dallas Kingdom Hall 1961 SE Miller Ave. Dallas, Oregon 97338. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence.
