INDEPENDENCE - Royal LeVern Hilliard passed away on February 11, 2017 at the age of 72. He was born April 24, 1944 in Deluth, Minnesota to Vernon and Loretta Hilliard. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific, and then worked as a dock foreman.
Royal loved hot rods and old John Wayne movies. He was there for anyone, and was a father to many.
Royal married Linda Jane Wright, who preceded him in death, as did his son Kyle. He is survived by his daughter Kari, son Kevin, grandson Anthony, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Independence Elks Lodge on February 25, 12 pm. Farnstrom Mortuary is handling arrangements. Memories and condolences at FarnstromMortuary.com.
