Rory Heide

Rory Laverne Heide of West Salem passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side, on September 7, 2023, at the age of 64.
Rory was born in Dallas, OR on June 10, 1959 to Bud and Patricia Heide. He graduated from Central High School in 1977. In September 1977 he enlisted in the US Navy where he graduated boot camp in San Diego and continued on to serve as an active reserve for 6 years. He met the love of his life, Kim Heide in 1979 and they were married on November 7, 1981. Rory and Kim went on to have 2 children, Jen (1984) and Scott (1989). In 2006 he became “Papa Rory” when his first grandchild was born.
Rory went to school to be a journeyman plumber (graduated 1998) and started his own business in 1999 until 2008 when he retired. Although Rory was no longer actively plumbing he was always willing to lend a helping hand or advice.
Rory had a love of the outdoors, golfing, hunting and fishing with his son, family and friends when he had the chance. He also enjoyed cheering on his grandson Nolan at his baseball games, his granddaughters Piper at her choir events and Paisley at her soccer games. He was a lifelong Packers fan and a Beaver Believer, and enjoyed watching the games with his family.
Rory is survived by his wife Kim of almost 42 years; his children Jen (Tyler) Fredinburg, Scott (Jessica) Heide; his grandchildren Nolan and Piper Fredinburg, Paisley and Abigail Heide; and his brothers Jamie (Rejeania), Tony (Kathy), Tracy (Suzie), brothers in law Steve (Laurie) Faulkner and Doug (Debbie) Faulkner, sister in law Carla Heide. And also his mother in law Mary Jane Faulkner.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bud and Patricia, father in law Butch Faulkner and his brother Lanny.
A graveside service will be held Friday September 15th at 3:00pm at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth, OR and a Celebration of Life will be held September 23rd from 3:00-6:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Independence, OR.
