Obituary, Robert E. Riha July 10, 1924 ~ January 9, 2007 Robert E. Riha of Monmouth, Oregon passed away January 9, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, Oregon at the age of 82. Robert was born July 10, 1924 in Fairfax, South Dakota to Adolf and Ethel Welch Riha. The family moved to Amity, Oregon in 1936 from Nebraska. Robert served his country in the United States Army during WWII in the South Pacific. Robert married Elva Brown in 1947 in Independence. They were married for 59 years. They lived in Cascade Locks while he worked for SDS Corporation based in Washington. After retiring he and Elva moved to Monmouth, Oregon in 1986. Robert loved to hunt and fish. He was a member and past president of American Legion Post #33. Survivors: Elva Riha Wife Monmouth, Oregon Leslie Riha Son Portland, Oregon Randy Riha Son The Dalles, Oregon Dale Riha Son Vernal, Utah 2 grandchildren Proceeded in death by his parents. 1 sister Vivian Lusk and 2 brothers Earl, Ray and Paul.
