Robert Lynton Cook was born on April 9, 1951 in Salem, Oregon to Owen and Arline Cook and died on April 1, 2010, at home. He grew up on the family farm northwest of Albany. He graduated from Corvallis High School in 1969, graduated from Western Oregon State College, and in 1989 graduated from Willamette University College of Law. He was involved with farming and agriculture in some way for his entire life and loved to see crops planted, growing, harvested and sold. He was intelligent, entertaining, fair to work with, and at his happiest when making a great business deal. He cherished his family and friends and is survived by many who love him dearly and miss him greatly. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Hauge and his seven children: Robert, Kristiana, Daniel, Andrew, Svetlana, Aleysia all of Independence and Tatiana of Dallas; by brothers Byron Cook of Albany and Tom Cook of Evansville, Indiana; by his sister Beverly Looney of Albany; by his mother Arline Cook of Independence, and by many nieces, nephews, extended family, in-laws and friends. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dallas, Oregon, on Wednesday, April 7, at 1 p.m. with a light luncheon to follow. Arrangements are entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence, OR.
