Obituary, Robert B. Carney Sr. April 26, 1926 ~ September 3, 2006 Robert Carney Sr. of Independence, Oregon Formerly of Gold Beach, Oregon died September 3, 2006 in Salem, Oregon. Robert was born in Fullerton, California to Helen Simmons and John Thomas Carney. Robert Served in the military during WWII he was in the service from August 1944 to November 1946 he was a private first class. Robert worked for Shell Oil Company for 36 years. Married Nancy Lee Woods on February 10, 1949 in Santa Barbara, California. They had three children Thomas Lee Carney of Ojai, California, Robert B Carney Jr of Monmouth, Oregon and Joseph Gavin Carney of Fort Collins, Colorado also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Graveside Service will be held in Gold Beach, Oregon. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
