Robert "Bob" Lee Beasley
August 21, 1945 - March 30, 2016
Robert (Bob) Lee Beasley, of Dallas, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the age of 70. He was born August 21, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He served in the Army from 1962 to 1965. He eventually moved to Oregon and decided to stay. To him, it was the closest he could get to Tennessee without the bugs and snakes.
Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Agnes, and three children, Rhonda Beasley, Randy Beasley (wife Wendy), and Bret Wilson (wife Marcie), twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He loved them all very much. He is preceded in death by both his parents and a son, Robert Jr.
Bob was a mill-worker at Gardiner International Paper Mill until he retired in 1998. He was a mechanic at heart and loved working on older cars, trucks and motorcycles. Although he declared he hated computers, he was good at fixing them, as he did frequently for family and friends.
Bob was baptized in 2009 when he felt God calling him to do so, and lived his life as best he could to love and serve his Heavenly Father. The last Bible verse he spoke was John 3:16, and he said it with the belief he felt in his heart.
Memorial Services will be held at the Dallas Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dallas, Oregon on Sunday, April 17 at 2 pm. The family requests no flowers. Farnstrom Mortuary is handling the services; online at FarnstromMortuary.com.
