Richard "Dick" Alan Wildman

Dick Wildman, 80, of Independence, OR, passed away at home with his wife, Jeanne, at his side on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Born in Boston, MA in 1934, Dick saved for his first airplane flight at age 12, and later joined the Air Force at age 17, serving for 4 years. He worked for many years in the early semiconductor industry in New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts before making his way westward to the Bay Area. Dick settled in Sunnyvale in 1976 where he later started his own business in the computer industry in 1984.
Dick became a private pilot in 1971 and stayed active in aviation. In addition, he was an avid "train buff," building model railroads and travelling by rail. In 2000, he began building his own private plane, and in 2004, he and his wife, Jeanne, retired to an airpark full of flying enthusiasts in Independence, OR.
Dick is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his children, Pierre, Renee, Lynn, Christine, Dean, Richard, and Craig; and 8 grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery on Monday, September 29th, at 2:30 pm.
