Obituary, Pastor Richard Dean Cobb March 12, 1938 ~ August 19, 2006 Pastor Richard Dean Cobb of Monmouth, Oregon died peacefully at his home on Saturday August 19, 2006 at the age of 68. Richard was born March 12, 1938 in Albany, Oregon. His parents Dean Neely biological father, Lester Cobb step-father and Pauline Cobb preceded him in death. Richard graduated from North Salem High School in 1956. He played for the Tualatin Valley Semi-Pro Baseball team as a pitcher. He attended Oregon College of Education, and served in the United States Army and the Reserves. Richard was an evangelist for 11 years and served as a pastor for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing and photography. For many years he had his own aerial photography business. He and his wife shared these hobbies together and spent many hours enjoying them as a couple. His wife Rachel Cobb and children Rich Cobb and Debbie Jenkins along with eight grandchildren survive him. Also surviving him are his two brothers Mike and Claude Cobb. A graveside service will be held on 10:00 am Wednesday August 23rd at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth, Oregon. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday August 26th at the Valley Christian Assembly in Monmouth. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence.
