Rebecca "Becky" Louise (VanKampen) Phillips died on May 19, 2021 at the age of 78 in Bucaramanga, Colombia, due to gallbladder complications and liver failure. Rebecca was born on January 24, 1943 to John Donald and Dorothy Virginia (Westrom) VanKampen in Boconó, Venezuela.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Lee Alan Phillips in 2011. She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Daniel) Graff and grandchildren Priscila, Jonathan and Abigail; son Nathan (Bouchra) Phillips and grandchildren Yassmina and Rayan, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; and son Andrew Phillips of Independence, Oregon; siblings Nita (James) Newing, Carolyn (Herbert) Samworth, Sylvia (Charles) Walters, J. Daniel (Nina) VanKampen, and Sharon "Shari" (John) Swan; nieces and nephews.
No flowers are requested. Private services were held.
Final arrangements are under the care of Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence, Oregon.
