Randy Lee Mason of Monmouth, Oregon passed away October 9, 2010 at the age of 56. Randy was born in McMinnville, Oregon on June 22, 1954 to Richard and Mary Mason. Was raised in Carlton, Oregon, attended Carlton Grade School and graduated from Yamhill-Carlton High School. Attended Clackamas Community College.

Randy was a member of the McMinnville bowling association for 38 years, former Carlton Volunteer Firefighter, a McMinnville Elk and a member of the Independence First Baptist Church. Worked for Frontier Leather Company from 1972-1985. Then owned and operated Monmouth Dairy Queen with his wife for over 20 years. He was an avid Yamhill-Carlton, Central High School and OSU Beaver fan. Loved watching sports, spending time with his family and friends, golfing and working in the garden.

Survived by partner and soul mate Nancy Nelson who were married in McMinnville, Oregon on September 7, 1977. Spent 33 years together. Two daughters Jennifer and husband Jeremy Main of Independence, Betsey and husband Chris Cannon of Monmouth, Oregon. 4 beautiful grandchildren: Alexis, Micah, Bryce and Isaiah. They kept him young, mother Mary Mason, brother Doug & Debbie Mason and Richard and Marty Mason. Proceeded in death by his father Richard C. Mason in 1983.

Celebration of Life will be held 1:00pm Thursday October 14, 2010 at the Independence First Baptist Church with a reception following at the church fellowship hall.
