Obituary, Ralph Waldo Martin Jr. May 13, 1921 ~ February 9, 2009 Ralph Waldo Martin Jr. of Monmouth, Oregon passed away February 9, 2009 at the age of 87. Ralph was born May 13, 1921 in Eugene, Oregon to Ralph Sr. and Grace "Brown" Martin. After graduating from High School he attended and graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Engineering. Worked as a mechanical engineer for CH2M Hill in Corvallis. Ralph was also a submarine officer with the US Navy during WWII stationed in San Diego. Ralph enjoyed fishing and coffee with the guys. He was a previous owner of Kings Valley Vineyard. Survivors include is wife Janie Martin of Monmouth, Oregon and Step-daughter Carolyn Forrester of Seattle, Washington. Proceeded in death by his first wife Julia Martin. At his request no services will be held. Private entombment will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Corvallis, Oregon.
