Norman “Stormin’ Norman” Earl Hendrickson passed away in Salem on October 26, 2019.  He was born December 30, 1947 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Erling and Leonora Hendrickson.  After attending Central High in Independence, Norman enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean DMZ.  When he returned, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and concrete finisher.
Norman had a great sense of humor and loved his family fiercely.  He enjoyed fishing, drawing, riding motorcycles, listening to music and spending time with his friends and family.  He had a one-liner for every occasion and was a strong, hard-working man.  A man of few words, he had a huge heart and loved his friends and family.

Norman is survived by, his brother Gordon, his children, Jason, Teresa, David, Zachary, his grandchildren, Derrick, Jakob, Adyen, Destiny, Stormy and his great-grandchild, Joseph.  His legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of those who hold his memory dear.  He will be missed by many.




A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 5, 11 am at Farnstrom Mortuary, 410 Monmouth St, Independence, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 pm at The Triangle Tavern, 3215 Liberty Rd S, Salem, OR.  Private interment will be at Fir Crest Cemetery, Monmouth, OR.
