Norma Jean McBeth, 72, of Dallas past July 1 at the Dallas Retirement Village. She was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota on August 29th, 1942 to Alando and Olga Peters. Norma attended Minnesota Elementary Schools and graduated from Central High School. She married Curt McBeth on Dec. 23, 1961 with this marriage came Curt Jr, Jeannie, Clayton, Annie, and Chuck. Norma worked with the 4-H for 20+ years in many project areas such as Goat Superintendent, Cooking, knitting, Clothing, etc. She worked for various group homes for numerous years starting as a cook making her way up to manager. She enjoyed scrapbooking, knitting, sewing, photography, and cooking (best baked bean maker, even though she didn't like to eat them.) She loved visiting with family and friends. She truly was the best friend to anyone who wanted to laugh and have fun. She was preceded by Pearl Cavender in 2005, Barbara Travis in 2013, and ex-husband Curt McBeth in 2015. Survivors include her children Curt Jr, Jeannie, Clayton, Annie, and Chuck, sisters Wilma, Beverly and Julie, along with 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and extending family. A celebration of live for Norma will be held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 at 11 am at Dallas Church, 450 SE Washington St, Dallas OR, 97338. Farnstrom Mortuary is handling arrangements.
