Nelda Mae Rose

Obituary, Nelda Mae Rose July 15, 1928 ~ April 17, 2007 Nelda Mae Rose of Monmouth, Oregon passed away April 17, 2007 at the age of 78 with family and friends by her side. Nelda was born in Nampa, Idaho July 15, 1928 to Lester and Virginia Parks. After graduating from Nampa High School in Idaho she moved with her family to Portland, Oregon during the war. In 1946 she met the love of her life Bill Rose and they were married in 1947 in California. The traveled all over together due to Bill's work finally settling in Monmouth in 2002. Nelda was Past President of American Legion in Corvallis; she was active in poppy sales and as chaplain. She was an active member of the Falls City 7th Day Adventist. Nelda enjoyed sewing, keeping up her home and cooking. Survivors include her husband Bill Rose of Jefferson, Oregon Son and daughter in law Terry and Judy Rose of Jefferson, Oregon 5 grandchildren and a Niece Patricia Jaggers. Nelda is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dewitt L. Parks and sister LaVina Hogan. Memorial Services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday April 25, 2007 at the Falls City Seventh-Day Adventist 205 N. Main Street, Falls City, Oregon. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence
