Myra Nettie Sahnow of Monmouth died on July 22. She was 80. She was born to Earl and Jennie Kelley in Watertown, N.Y. She came to Oregon with her parents and nine siblings in 1936 settling in Junction City. In 1941 she married Vernon Sahnow of Eugene. They lived in the Salem area during their 63 years of marriage. Her varied interests included Bible study, going to garage sales, adding to her many collections, playing games and quilt making. Her recent project was the compilation of a Kelley family history. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lola Belle Nichols, Amber Rutherford and Marian Holmes. Survivors include her husband, Vern of Monmouth; children, Barbara Locke of Springfield, James of Oakridge, Steven of Sequim, Wash., Sandra Newsom of Independence, Vernon Jr. of Salem and Benjamin of Monmouth; brothers, Earl of Florence, Oresta of Gulfport, Miss., George of Veneta and Gerald of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Jennie Pritchard of Reedsport; 13 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. Private burial was held at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Salem.
