Michael Alan Parker passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 surrounded by his wife and children.
Michael, or “Mike” to those who knew him, was raised in Scio. He attended Scio High School and enlisted in the Army at the end of his senior year. He bravely served during the Vietnam War and was awarded many honors for his service. Mike was honorably discharged after his tour.
Mike was honored by his high school in 2018. The Scio School District presented him with his official high school diploma in a ceremony attended by family, friends, current students, and a State Representative.
Mike is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy, his children Amy, Becky & son-in-law Lonnie, Mike & daughter-in-law Rachel as well as the apples of his eyes, his grandchildren William, Cohen, and Katie.
Due to COVID-19, there will be a quiet family-only ceremony at the Buena Vista Cemetery.
Mike loved his friends & family very much and wishes them all a happy and healthy life.
