Medardo Richard Sanchez, resident of Monmouth, Oregon passed away on December 2, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born on June 8, 1936 to Natividad and Manuela (Martinez) Sanchez in Hebbronville, Texas.
Medardo married Judith Carlotta Petersen on February 14, 1960 in Monmouth, Oregon. He retired from mill work at Willamette Industries, and enjoyed football, boxing and fishing with his mill buddies. He loved his family and was a wonderful grandfather. Self-educated, he taught himself to read and led a fulfilling life, full of worldly experiences.
Surviving Medardo are his son, Richard (Taunia) Sanchez of Utah; son Ray (Trisha) Sanchez of Oregon; daughter Yolanda Kent of Iowa; grandchildren Braden, Karlie, Megan, Jennifer, Leah, James, Crystal and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith.
