Obituary, Mathias Earl Chenoweth August 23, 1930 ~ December 7, 2008 Mathias Earl Chenoweth of Dallas, Oregon passed away December 7, 2008 at the age of 78. Earl was born August 23, 1930 in Kalispell, Montana to John and Lois Bonney Chenoweth. On November 12, 1947 Earl enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorable discharged January 21, 1950. He continued his reserve status until his discharge in 1954. On August 6, 1949, he married Marlene M. Freed. Earl owned the Circle 3-J Appaloosa Ranch for 14 years. Lived in San Jose, California for 13 years were he worked for Lockheed Missiles in Sunnyvale, California. After retiring he moved to Brookings, Oregon for 12 years and later moving and settling in Dallas, Oregon. Earl was a member of the South Salem Seniors, Elks Lodge #1950. Earl served as President of the California State Horseman Region 6 in 1966, 1967 & 1968. Survivors include his wife Marlene M. Chenoweth of Dallas, Oregon. Sons; Johnny E. Chenoweth of Fallon, Nevada and Jay D. Chenoweth of Dallas, Oregon. Sister; Dorothy J. Wideman of Springfield, Oregon, Granddaughter; Tina S. Chenoweth of Dallas, Oregon, Grandsons; Cody Chenoweth of Fallon, Nevada, Casey Chenoweth of Fallon, Nevada, Rawlyn E. Chenoweth of Dallas, Oregon and Ryan J. Chenoweth of Dallas, Oregon. Great Grandson Joshua Tausch of Coos Bay, Oregon and Great Granddaughter; Terri Tausch of Dallas, Oregon. Earl is preceded in death by son; Jimmie R. Chenoweth, Brothers; John R. Chenoweth and James R. Chenoweth. At Earl's request no services will be held.
