MaryAnn A. Spock of Monmouth, Oregon died July 3, 2005 at the age of 83 years old. MaryAnn was born January 12, 1922 in Santa Paula, California to Manuel and Ynes Castanos Alves. On April 10, 1944 she married John Spock. He preceded her in death. MaryAnn was the Owner and Operator of "The Humpty Dumpty Day Care Center" in Independence. Member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Independence. Member of the Alter Society at St. Patrick's and also "The Sunshine Lady" for her church. Her ministry in being the sunshine lady was one of bringing hope and encouragement to others. Which includes phone call, sending cards and her every unique way of inspiring others with laughter and smile. MaryAnn's greatest joy was her family and her greatest achievement was inspiring others. All who knew and loved her were in awe of her courage and strength through all of her person challenges. The love of her life was Johnny her husband over 50 years. Their love and commitment and their great devotion to each other was apparent for all to see. MaryAnn's love for the Lord was paramount in her life and she continually leaned of him day and night for her strength and courage to carry her through her life's journey and spoke of her faith openly. We will all miss Mary Ann but as she said to her granddaughter before her death "If you need me I am close as your memories" Survivors: Clara Connelly Sister Monmouth, Oregon Agnes Foster Daughter Monmouth, Oregon Diane Gilbert Daughter Monmouth, Oregon John Spock Son Dallas, Oregon Teresa Focht Daughter Independence, Oregon Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by her parents and John Spock in 1997.
