Obituary, Mary Elizabeth Rowley August 12, 1924 ~ August 4, 2005 Mary Elizabeth Rowley of Corvallis, Oregon died August 4, 2005 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon. Born in Trinidad, Colorado. Moved to San Diego at the age of 18 and worked for Rohr's Aircraft as a Riviter during WWII. Married in 1944 to Manuel Vizcarra had 4 children she moved to Oregon in 1967. She lived in Grants Pass for 5 years working as a Certified nurses assistant then moved to Corvallis, worked at St. Mary's Parrish for 4 years then lived with her daughter in the Corvallis area helping to raise her grandchildren. She then moved to the Portland area until 2000 and lived in Corvallis the last year of her life. She enjoyed cooking, yahtzee and swimming. Loved being around her grandchildren and teaching them to cook and playing yahtzee with them. Swimming was her passion throughout her youth, she loved to sew. She enjoyed helping the residence at West Hills Assisted Living the last year of her life. Visitation will be Thursday August 11th from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. Graveside Service will be Friday August 12th at 11:00 am at Hilltop Cemetery in Independence.
