Mark Joseph Lazuran

Mark Lazuran was born on March 26, 1962, in Portland, Oregon, to Peter and Ann Lazuran. He was their sixth child. He was baptized on April 8, 1962, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Milwaukie, Oregon. Mark attended Milwaukie High School and received a certificate of completion.
For the past 20 or more years, Mark lived in Monmouth, Oregon, in a home managed by Partnerships in Community Living (PCL). He worked, through PCL, at a variety of jobs, including recycling, newspaper delivery, and assisting at a bakery. He also did volunteer work for PCL and other places. Mark enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing and visiting the Oregon coast. Mark had challenges but he treasured the simple things of life, like burgers and apple pie. He had a heart-warming smile and a good sense of humor.
Mark is survived by his siblings: Mary Ann Smith (Scott); Catherine Lazuran (James Jordan); Daniel Lazuran; Peter Lazuran (Robin); and by three nephews (Gary Smith, Peter Lazuran, Kevin Lazuran); and two nieces (Cathleen Brentnall, Jamie Jordan); and by five grand-nephews (Andrew, Matthew, and Derrick Brentnall and Isaiah and Jacob Smith); and two grand-nieces (Lucianna and Maria Brentnall). He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gloria Sheldon.
The service for Mark Lazuran will be at a committal shelter at Willamette National Cemetery on November 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. The cemetery is located at 11800 S.E. Mt. Scott Blvd., Happy Valley, Oregon 97086. Attendees are requested by the cemetery to stop by the Administrative Building at 1:00 p.m. for a map and information on the exact location. The cemetery requires that attendees wear masks. Father Maxy D’Costa from St. John the Apostle Church in Oregon City will officiate at the ceremony which will start at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be later on November 5, 2021.
