Marjorie M. Curtis of Monmouth, Oregon passed November 20, 2010 at her home at Heron Pointe.

She was born in Scribner, Nebraska to Arthur and Frieda (Wickhorst) Harms and was the second youngest of six children: Harriet (her children Jeanette and Burdette), Elwood and Betty. She married William Earl Curtis on April 22, 1944 in Overland, Kansas. They were married 24 years and raised five children. She spent most of her life farming land in Nebraska, Idaho and Washington. She started out her working career as a Civilian MP for Souix Ordinance Plant. After Earl died she started working for Munkers, then for the Salvation Army and finely for the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles in Salem where she retired in 1984. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, flowers and nature. She was a member of the Eagles #2081 since 1970.

Survivors include her sister; Jeanette Browning of Chehalis, Washington, brother; Burdette Sanders, of Bristol, Tennessee; son; Larry (Roslynn) Curtis of Louisville, KY, and daughters; Sherry (Wendal) Sperling, of Independence, Oregon and Jill (Steve) Summers, of Monmouth, Oregon. She has 18 grand children, 17 surving and 18 great-grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband William Earl Curtis, son; Richard L. Curtis, daughter; Gail A. Monk, parents Frieda, Arthur, sisters: Harriet, Betty and brother; Elwood.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm at Farnstrom Mortuary Friday, November 26, at with committal service following at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem.
