Marjorie Jean Cutten
January 22, 1927 - September 8, 2014
Marjorie Jean Cutten left on a charter flight to Heaven, a little before 6 o'clock on September 8, 2014. She was immediately greeted by her loving husband Lewyn 'Lee' F. Cutten. There were no delays as there is NO Homeland Security Checkpoint on non-stops to Heaven.
She was born in Tichfield, Saskatchewan, Canada on January 22, 1927 to Harvey and Eva Scutt. Her father was a Station Master of the Tichfield Junction Rail Station. She was their only child. They moved to Selah, Washington during the depression. Harvey and Eva would go on to own a dairy ranch in the East Selah Valley.
Marjorie met the love of her life, Staff Sargent Cutten, USMC in the mid-fifties. They would enjoy a great life together full of richness and love for over 56 years. They have Alan Cutten, Lori Gorski, and Frank Cutten as their children. She is survived by three children, five grand- children, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Marjorie graduated Selah High School with Honors in 1940. She would go on to Graduate with honors from Central Washington State College, Ellensburg, Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, in 1971.
She enjoyed quilting, volunteering, and family. Lee and Marge lived in many communities in the Northwest and settled in Dallas, Oregon until the end. Her smile lit up the local Dairy Queens for over a decade as she and her loving husband would enjoy daily lunches. She will be truly missed.
Viewing will be Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Farnstrom Mortuary. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Fir Crest Cemetery. Memories and condolences at FarnstromMortuary.com.
