Marion Ruth Elliott of Salem, Oregon (formerly of Independence) passed away September 23, 2010 at the age of 83.

Marion was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where she attended school. Marion worked for two years in the office of Edison Shoe Company before she married Ben in St. Louis on March 3, 1945, then promptly moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where she received a P.H.T. degree (That's putting hubby thru)

Marion did office work for four years until the birth of the first child, a daughter. Eleven years later the Elliott family consisted of one daughter and four sons.

Marion was a full-time wife and mother. Thru the years, she taught Sunday school, led women's home bible studies, and enjoyed participating in Christian Women's Clubs. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, and turning a parsonage into a home. She was a faithful wife, mother, and help-mate to her pastor-husband.

Survivors include her husband Ben Elliott of West Salem, Sons; Dennis A. Elliott of Yakima, Washington, Dale E. Elliott of Naches, Washington, Dean C. Elliott of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Daughter; Diane L. Boulware of Dallas, Oregon, Sister; Marie King of St. Louis, Missouri, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, son Dwaine L. Elliott.

In lieu of flowers family request that contributions be made to the Village Missions 696 E. Ellendale Ave. Dallas, Oregon 97338.

Memorial Service will be 2:00pm Saturday October 9, 2010 at the Evangelical Bible Church 1175 SE Howe Street, Dallas, Oregon 97338.

Private interment was held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
