Maridell Jacobson

Maridell Jacobson of Monmouth died on June 5. She was 67. She was born in Chico, Calif. She attended high school in Coos Bay and received her bachelors degree at Oregon State University. She taught elementary school for 37 years in Coos Bay, Seattle and Independence. Survivors include a sister and a brother. Most of her life she battled with Type I diabetes and wanted all to know that diabetes did not defeat her. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Salem, 3737 Liberty Rd. S. The attire is casual and a reception will follow.
