Obituary ~ Maria D. Rojas May 1, 1953 ~ January 22, 2010 Maria D. Rojas of Dallas, Oregon passed away January 22, 2010 at the age of 56. Maria was born in Cajamarca, Peru to Catalino and Matilde Rojas Olano. She was a registered nurse in Peru. In 2006 she moved to United States to be with her daughter and grandchildren. Maria enjoyed cats, reading, learning and studying and learning english. She was a great cook and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She wanted to be one of three things. A good mom, nurse or a nun. Survivors include mother Matilde of Peru, daughter Irina Lyle Durbin of Dallas, Oregon, 2 grandchildren of Dallas, Oregon and siblings Carlos, Graciela, Adelmo, Leyla, Catalino, Zenaida and Esmeralda all of Peru. Memorial Mass will be held 4:00pm Wednesday January 27th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Independence. Contributions can be made to Odyssey Hospice or St. Patrick's Catholic Church in care of Farnstrom Mortuary 410 Monmouth St. Independence, OR. 97351 who is entrusted to funeral arrangements.
