On the evening of Thursday, November 21, 2019 Maria Estela Oliveros beloved mother of Jazmin Estela, Laura Ebelia, and Juan Diego Inocencio passed away at the age of 64.
Maria was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on April 14, 1955 to Inocencio and Beatriz Oliveros. She graduated from Central High School and received her Bachelors's in education from Western Oregon University. She served as an educator for over 25 years with Salem-Keizer School District and Chemeketa Community College. She retired from Salem-Keizer School district in June of 2019 and was currently working part-time with the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation at Grant Elementary. Even though she was retired, she refused to stop working with her students.
Maria had a passion for singing, cooking, teaching and most of all her family. She could spend hours doting about her children and her students' accomplishments big or small. But her true love was for her three grandchildren. She loved treasure hunting at Goodwill, getting together with her girlfriends and singing karaoke. She was always the first to step up to sing. In her earlier years, she was very active in church choir and she would often be found singing for weddings and other occasions with her siblings.
Maria was known for her quick wit, kind heart and young spirit. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. She was compassionate, understanding, and a great friend to all.
Maria is survived by her three children, her grandchildren Haziel Xavier, Alyna Saree, Adriana Beatriz; her siblings Felix Inocencio (Chencho), Pedro, Alma, Rodolfo (Rudy), Julio Roberto, Gerardo (Jerry), and Lucina; and many nieces and nephews.
