Obituary, Mabel D. McLaughlin November 26, 1910 ~ October 11, 2007 Mabel D. McLaughlin of Monmouth, Oregon passed away October 11, 2007 at her home in Monmouth at the age of 96. Mabel Depew was born in Pendleton, Oregon November 26, 1910 and spent most of her life in Grant & Umatilla Counties. In 1928 she married Clark Cable who died in 1972. She later married Charles McLaughlin who died in 1997, after his death she moved to Independence to be with her family. Mabel spent most of her working career as a cook, fist on ranches and lastly for the Oregon State Hospital.
