Obituary, Lydia Marie Greer November 27, 2002 ~ July 16, 2008 Lydia Marie Greer of Dallas, Oregon passed away on Wednesday July 16th as the result of a tragic car accident near Amity, Oregon. Lydia was 5 years old at the time of her passing. Lydia was born on Wednesday November 27, 2002 in Pendleton, Oregon to her parents Jake & Daphne Greer. Lydia loved life and all the things that made people happy. She loved to sing, dance, entertain people and put a smile upon people's faces. She had a bubbly personality that was contagious to everyone around her. One of her favorite activities was to dress up her younger brother Hunter. Much to the chagrin of her father, Lydia would dress Hunter in a purple dress and he would be all decked out in make-up as well. Another thing Lydia thoroughly enjoyed was being part of her church family at Dallas Methodist Church. She tracked her weeks by which day were church day. Lydia attended the Happy Face Preschool in McMinnville and she had many friends there. Lydia is survived by her parents Jake & Daphne Greer of Dallas, Oregon; brother Hunter of Dallas; grandparents Dan & Nancy Greer of Independence; grandfather John Bach of Lakeview; grandmother Sheryl Smith of Bend; great grandmother Margaret Snow of Independence; great grandfather Bud Haughstad of Rancho Mirage, CA; great grandparents Sherman & Norma Anderson of Lakeview; and aunts and uncles Scot & Julie McDonald of Dallas and Daniel Bach of Redmond. There will be a private burial service at New Pine Creek Cemetery in Lakeview, Oregon on Thursday July 24th. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00am Saturday July 26th at the Monmouth Christian Church 959 W. Church St. Monmouth, OR. 97361. Immediately following the service there will be a reception for friends and family at the Polk County Fire District 1 Station at 1800 Monmouth St. Independence, Oregon.
