Obituary ~ Lois Joan Anderson March 13, 1930 ~ April 13, 2009 Lois Joan Anderson of Dallas, Oregon passed away April 13, 2009 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 79. Born March 13, 1930 to Harold & Doris Fisher in Montgomery County, Illinois. Moved to Portland, Oregon at the age of 16 graduating from Parkrose High School. During high school she met William J. Sterling. In 1950 they were married. Shortly after marriage they moved to Roseburg where they started the Edelweiss Ski Club in Roseburg. While in Roseburg 2 sons Phillip & Richard were born. They returned to Portland were daughter Patty was born. They retired to the coast. William passed away in 1986, she re-married in 1988 to Carl Anderson making there home in Depoe Bay until moving to Dallas in 1999 were she remained until her passing. Survivors include her husband, Carl Anderson of Dallas, Oregon, Sons, Phillip Sterling of Dallas and Richard "Dick" Sterling of Grand Ronde, Oregon, Daughter, Patty Gaunt of Lincoln City, Oregon, Sisters Cathy Fox of Brightwood, Oregon and Mary Higgins of Gresham, Oregon. 7 grandchildren. Memorial Service will be 1:00pm Wednesday April 22, 2009 at the Salt Creek Baptist Church. Contributions can be made to the Hopewell House 6171 SW Capitol Hwy. Portland, Oregon 97239.
