Linda Luella Lang

Linda Luella Lang, (born Linda Luella Guy), 64, of Independence, OR, passed away on April 28, 2023.
Linda was born on December 13, 1958 to Albert and Virginia Guy in Dayton, KY as one of eight children. Linda graduated from Connor Senior High School in 1976. The highlight of her senior year was performing with her high school marching band in the Bi-Centennial Parade in Philadelphia.
Shortly after graduation she joined the Navy where she spent 21 years serving her county all over the world, including duty stations in Guam, Hawaii, Florida, Iceland, Puerto Rico, California, and Japan. During that time, she obtained an associate degree from the University of Maryland.
In 1997, Linda retired from the Navy as a Radioman Chief Petty Officer. She moved to Independence, OR with her family in 2000.
She loved teaching her Japanese students English, being a Webelos leader, watching her children perform their various activities, traveling, quilting with her church group, spending time with her grandchildren, playing rummy, puzzling, relaxing with her dog, Keli’i, and was an enthusiastic reader.
In 2007, Linda married William “Bill” Lang at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dallas. They enjoyed spending their time traveling together.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Virginia Guy, her sister Cathy, and her husband Bill. She is survived by her children, Jonathan (Christine) Guy, Jordan (Matthew) Ohrt, Joshua (Katryn) Archuletta and her grandchildren Claire, Erin, Noah, Parker, and Clayton.
Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dallas on June 24, 2023 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warriors, an organization Linda felt strongly about.
