Obituary, Leonard M. Oveross December 7, 1912 ~ May 23, 2007 Leonard M. Oveross of Lincoln City, Oregon died May 23, 2007 at the age of 94. Born December 7, 1912 to Knute Lars Oveross and Gertrude Merringdal Oveross. Mr. Oveross grew up in Pierpont, SD, he worked most of his life in Construction in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and South America for Morrison Knutson Construction Co. He married Gwen Beatty and moved to Highland, Oregon outside of Oregon City in 1946 and to Lincoln City in 1958. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and traveling. Survivors include his wife Margaret, son James, 2 daughters Karen Garlick and Jean Smith, stepson Marland Hale and stepdaughter Cheryl Cook, brother Edward Oveross 3 sisters Grace Oveross, Pearl Standish and Helen Oveross, 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gwen in 1986 and son Michael in 2000. There will be no services. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
