Leona Ada Hensley

Leona Ada Hensley October 14, 1920 ~ May 6, 2009 Leona Ada Hensley of Independence, Oregon passed away May 6, 2009 at the age of 88. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother of 12. Her family will remember her as a woman of great strength and love. She spent her life caring for her family as a homemaker. Always surrounded by those who loved her she brought happiness to her family. She leaves behind 10 children, 32 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. Sons: George W. Jr., Lester, Billy, Charles Chuck, and Jessie. Daughters: Bonnie, Donnie, Louise, Jane and Linda. She is now reunited with her husband George W. Sr., daughter Lena and son Clifford. Visitation will be 1pm to 5pm Monday May 11th at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday May 12th at the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Monmouth, committal service will follow at Hilltop Cemetery and a reception following graveside back the church. Contributions can be made to the Doernbecher Hospital in care of Farnstrom Mortuary who is entrusted to funeral arrangements.
