Laura M. Sternard died June 5, 2016 at the age of 100, Sunday afternoon at the Independence Health and Rehab, in Independence, Oregon. She moved to Monmouth Oregon from rural Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin in 1994.
She married Oswald (Mike) Sternard on October 21, 1939. Together they had 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Oswald preceded her in death July 1958. She was also preceded in death by her eldest son Elton Sternard (Harriet) and youngest daughter Lois Peggy Johnson (Ken).
Survived by daughter Patricia Stee (Don), Michael Sternard (Dorothy), 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She loved to read and play games, Canasta and walks with the grandchildren. She was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since the 1950's.
She will be greatly missed.
She will be interred at Bayside Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Arrangements are by Farnstrom Mortuary. Memories and condolences at FarnstromMortuary.com.
