Kenneth Edwin Nelson

Obituary, Kenneth Edwin Nelson September 26, 1941 ~ March 25, 2007 Kenneth Edwin Nelson of Independence, Oregon Ken was born in Prairie City, Oregon to Leonard and Martha Nelson. The family later moved to Salem, Oregon. Ken graduated from North Salem High School in 1959. He served in the Army from 1961-1965. He worked as a x-ray technologist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland and Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, retiring after 30 years of service. In 1967 his family purchased property south of Independence and raised filberts. His family and the farm were the love of his life. Ken is survived by his wife - Sally, son - Randy, daughter - Pam he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammi His grandchildren are Danielle, James and Michael and there are two brothers, Ron and Ben. His stepchildren are Lisa, Gregory and Julie and step grandchildren are Erik, Jordan, Darian, Trevor and Caemlyn. He was loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Graveside service will be 10:00 am Thursday March 29, 2007 at Hilltop Cemetery in Independence. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
