Kathryn Laverne Cummins

Kathryn Laverne Cummins, 84, of Dallas formerly of Monmouth died May 28, 2005 in her home. Born March 23, 1921 in North Bend, Oregon the daughter of Charles and Edith Hulen. She was raised and attended school in North Bend. She meet Ernie Cummins at Oregon State University while attending school. They were married on March 12, 1943 in North Bend. She then went onto the Multnomah School of Nursing. Kathryn worked as a Pediatrics Nurse for Salem Hospital until her retirement in 1975. Kathryn enjoyed Needle Point, gardening, and traveling. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernie Cummins in 1993 and her daughter Kathryn Stillson in 1995. Survivors Include: Grandson Elijah Stillson Granddaughter Morgan Stillson A Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Christ's Church Methodist & Presbyterian United, 412 W. Clay Monmouth, OR US 97361. Private burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Arrangements are entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence, Oregon.
