Juanita Myers April 20, 1920 ~ November 7, 2006 Juanita Myers of Monmouth, Oregon died November 7, 2006 at the age of 86. Born in Hockerville, Oklahoma. Attended school in Missouri and Kansas. Married John Myers on October 22, 1940. Came to Oregon from Galena Kansas in 1945. She resided in Independence and Monmouth since 1945. For five years she lived at Heron Pointe Assisted Living until being moved to Oregon City Health Care Center in January 2006. The daughter of John and Sybil Proctor, she was the oldest of seven children. Her brother Earl Proctor of Dallas, Oregon and her sister Betty Faul of Independence survive her. Her brothers Thomas, Jack, Max and Henry preceded her in death. Her six children and a stepdaughter also survive her: Yvonne Phillips, Gladstone, Oregon, George of Oregon City, Oregon, Gary of Salem, Oregon, Bruce and Greg of Independence, Oregon, Keith of Spokane, Washington and Sue Ellison of Galena, Kansas. She has 14 grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, and 14 great grandchildren. "She adored them all" She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Independence. Her beloved husband John preceded her in death in 1994. They were the founders of Johnny Auto Wreckers in Independence. Private Vault Interment was held at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth on Wednesday. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday November 14, 2006 at the Independence First Baptist Church. In Lieu of flowers, contributions to the First Baptist Church of Independence. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
