Joyce A. Sprague

Joyce Sprague of Rickreall, Oregon died August 11, 2004 in her home in Rickreall she was 70 years old. Joyce was born in Garner, Iowa to Elmer and Nellie Kinckenbacher Katter. She was a 56 year resident of Polk County, she earned 2 time business women of the year award. Joyce attended Duke University, Came to Independence Oregon from Garner, Iowa in 1947, she was married to Paul for 51 years. They were married February 13, 1953. Joyce was a model for LaPoints News Paper ads in the 1980's. She worked for Mt. Fir Lumber and Mt. Fir Chip Co. for 48 years serving as Secretary Treasure and Vice President of the companies. She was a loving wife, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Joyce enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, spending time with family. Survivors: Paul D. Sprague Husband Rickreall, Oregon Donald E. Saturday August 14, 2004 at Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence. Burial will follow service at Bethel Cemetery in Bethel, Oregon North of Rickreall Contributions: Willamette Valley Hospice, Diabetes Association or the Salvation Army.
